LIAM HAYES - FOUNDER

My music career began back when I was seven and started learning the Trumpet. I went on to play in orchestras and brass bands in some of East Anglia’s most prestigeous venues, such as Snape Maltings, The Marina Theatre and Trinity Park. By the age of 10 I’d found a passion for drums, playing along to tunes from Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses and Queen. I was perfectly happy with music as a hobby, that was until I picked up the Guitar aged 12. The Guitar became my obsession, I practiced constantly and teaching myself everything I could find through the internet - from then on I knew I wanted to make a living out of music. When I was 14 I started to get into bands, I still to this day sing and play the guitar in my rock band Red Glass, which I have released an EP, an Album, and played over 50 gigs with.

 

I currently play in four different bands on three different instruments, and my qualifications now include…

 

Grade 8 Electric Guitar (Merit)

Grade 8 Popular Music Theory (Merit)
Grade 6 Drums

Grade 5 Trumpet

Distinction in Level 3 BTEC Music Diploma

Norfolk County Scholar Award for exceptionally high marks in said Diploma.

 

I started planning for Amplify in January 2021, I’ve been supported by so many incredible people, I’ve acquired some of the best musicians in East Anglia who share my vision, and we really believe that this can be a really big deal.
